| 2003 | 4 question (optional) Arthritis Management Module added |
| 2005 | Work for pay question dropped |
| 2007 | No further changes |
| 2009 | New questions are added (arthritis impact on work for pay, pain severity, and social participation) |
| 2010 | Single question added as an optional module “Have you EVER seen a doctor, nurse, or other health professional for these joint symptoms”? Depending on which states use the module it may allow analysis of arthritis and anxiety/depression, emotional support and life satisfaction, sleep, falls, veteren’ status, use of preventive services. |
