Rhode Island

The Rhode Island Assessment Initiative for Data Dissemination (RI AIDD) is implementing an interactive web-based data query system (WDQS) that will improve access to data in the Department of Health's Center for Health Data Analysis. The WDQS includes Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System and Youth Risk Behavior Survey data; over 130 public health partners have been trained in its use. Rhode Island is currently continuing work on its existing WDQS to promote the further use of public health data in public policy. Modules are under development for RI census, natality, mortality, and hospital discharge data. RI AIDD has also formed a partnership with the Rhode Island Public Health Institute (a non-profit organization housed at Brown University) to develop a training program for community-based agencies.
