Special Message Regarding Haitian Earthquake Relief

The Director of OPM has authorized department and agency heads to allow a special solicitation of Federal employees at the workplace to support Haiti in its time of extraordinary need following the devastating earthquake of January 12th. Special solicitations will allow Federal employees to assist the ongoing relief efforts in Haiti outside the normal Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) procedures.

Federal employees may offer assistance by giving directly to charities involved in relief efforts, regardless of whether the charities participated in their local CFC. If you decide to conduct a special solicitation at CDC, please contact the Ethics Office at 404-639-5003 or via email at ethics@cdc.gov to let us know of your efforts, including which charity or charities you selected for donations.
