National Homicide Statistics

 

Trends in Homicide Rates Among Persons Ages 10-24 Years, by Race/Ethnicity, 1991-2005

Homicide rates were consistently higher for Non-Hispanic Blacks than for all other race/ethnicity groups from 1991 to 2005. Homicide rates for for Non-Hispanic Blacks declined from 62.6 per 100,000 population in 1991 to 32.8 per 100,000 in 2005.
