Talking Points

Schools can teach personnel to be positive role models for a healthy and safe lifestyle. Bus drivers, teachers, coaches, and custodians can learn to treat students and each other respectfully, intervene to stop harassment, and model safe behaviors. Shop teachers, for example, can use protective equipment and coaches can support nonviolent play. Staff can learn about community services to which they can refer students and families.
