Talking Points

Despite the horrific school shootings in recent years at Columbine High School in Colorado, Santee High School in San Diego, and Heath High School in Paducah, Kentucky, few schools will ever experience such traumatic events. In fact, less than 1% of all violent deaths – homicides and suicides – among school-aged children are associated with schools.
