Stroke Death Rates, American Indians and Alaska Natives


Stroke Death Rates for 2000 through 2006 for American Indians and Alaska Natives Aged 35 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest stroke death rates - meaning the top quintile - are located primarily in Alaska and Washington. Pockets of high-rate counties also are found in Montana, Minnesota, Mississippi, and North Carolina.
