Trends In ObesityAn alarming trend currently taking place in America is weight gain. BRFSS data shows that in 1998, 18.3% of the population was obese, whereas by 2004, it was 23.2%.
The trend toward obesity has a major impact on another health issue you will be asking respondents about: diabetes. In this section of the questionnaire, you will be asking, "Have you ever been told by a doctor that you have diabetes?"
